The EZdowel™ load transfer plate dowel is designed to provide superior load transfer while saving time and labor during the installation process. The dowel features a coating on the top and bottom designed to create a bond break with the slab, and compressible edge banding on both sides to allow for slab lateral movement..
EZdowel’s unique shape provides superior plate dowel strength by providing 20% more steel closer to highest stress areas that other plate dowels. EZdowel also promotes better consolidation by allowing internal vibration close to the form board.
One of the most cost efficient attractions of the dowel is its simplified installation method. The dowel simply slides into the pre-cut dowel slot in the EZform board. Pre-cut dowel slots assure proper vertical and horizontal alignment of each dowel without the need or labor expense of measuring and nailing traditional dowel holders. Contractors will also find they eliminate the need to repair broken or paste filled dowel holders or replace crushed ones.
EZdowel is available in a range of thicknesses including 3/16”, 1/4”, 5/16” and 1/8” to allow for design flexibility.
